Vishal Veeru Devgan, born on April 2, 1969, is a renowned Indian film star, filmmaker, and producer mainly active in Hindi cinema. Known as a prominent actors, he has featured in over a hundred movies and won numerous awards, such as four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. In 2016, he was honored with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor. Devgn stepped into Bollywood with the romantic-action film *Phool Aur Kaante* (1991), a commercial success that made him an overnight star. He later featured in hit action films such as *Jigar* (1992), *Suhaag* (1994), *Vijaypath* (1994), and romantic blockbusters like *Ishq* (1997) and *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999). His highly praised performance in *Zakhm* (1998) won him a prestigious National Award. Throughout the 2000s, Devgn gave highly appreciated performances in movies like *Company* (2002), *The Legend of Bhagat Singh* (2002), and *Omkara* (2006). His portrayal Bhagat Singh won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. In the 2010s, he made a strong comeback with big commercial hits such as *Singham* (2011) and *Golmaal Again* (2017). More lately, his films *Tanhaji* (2020), *Drishyam 2* (2022), and *Singham Again* (2024) have become box office sensations, with *Tanhaji* earning him another National Film Award. In addition to acting, Devgn operates his film production house, Ajay Devgn FFilms, established in 1999. He is wedded to actress Kajol, and they have a son and daughter together.
